Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities As a Production Scheduler you will manage fabrication inventory and release work orders to satisfy demand.
You will work closely with CNC programmers to ensure work order quantities are right sized for demand, recommending nesting of parts and collaborating on steel sheet quantities.
The Production Scheduler will be capable of releasing finished good production orders as well.
You will communicate with sales on order and date changes.
Responsibilities:
Generate daily productions schedules for fabrication and production departments based on current sales volume and departmental needs Coordinate scheduling between departments Assist planner in developing master production schedule Release shop work orders for fabricated parts based on scheduled demand and needs from the fabrication manager Develop schedule obtainment metrics and provide reports outlining plant's performance to said metrics Assist in improvement of overall product throughput with effective scheduling and automation within SAP B1 Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements Must possess 1-3 years' experience with scheduling manufacturing processes Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team and with various departments Candidate must be well organized and have a good eye for detail Understanding of sheet metal processes are a plus but not required Knowledge or ability to learn SAP B1 with a strong background in navigating ERP systems Must have a desire to effect change by continually improving our scheduling and planning process Strong IT skills are a must Values Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Motivated self-starter who will seek out new work or projects when capable.
You have a high motivation to learn systems.
You are open minded and can react to change with agility.
You are a quick and autonomous learner.
